Thomas Jenkins

Thomas has been with SBC since the start in 1999. As a child in the 70’s, Thomas spent his early years riding bikes all around his hometown of McLean, VA where he discovered the magic of bikes for transportation and fun. After forgetting about bikes for a few years (that is what a drivers license will do!), the two-wheel passion was reborn when he discovered mountain biking in the late 80’s.

After graduating from Radford University (91’) with a BA in Accounting, Thomas traveled the US racing mountain bikes for Gary Fisher and Breezer. Thomas landed in Harrisonburg for the diverse riding opportunities and never left due to the great community.

Thomas lives only a few blocks from the shop with his wife Julie and sons Ethan and Carter. When not in the shop or chasing his boys around for their various activities you will find Thomas out on the local trails riding or running, probably thinking about the next trail project for the growing trail network.
